Can you really see the best of Florence in just one day? It sounds impossible, but if you’re prepared for a whirlwind adventure, you can experience the heart of the Renaissance in a single day. With a well-planned itinerary, we hit the ground running and packed in as much history, art, and incredible views as we could fit into our jam packed day exploring Florence.

Is it possible to see the best of Rome in one day? While the Eternal City wasn't built in a day, you can certainly see its highlights if you have a plan. We recently tackled a whirlwind Rome itinerary to see if we could fit 2,000 years of history and Rome’s most iconic highlights into a single, action-packed day. From ancient gladiator arenas to Baroque masterpieces, it was a marathon in the form of a sprint, but totally worth it!

We’ve had our fair share of long haul flights, from 6-8 hours to fly across the Atlantic, all the way up to 18 hours to fly across the Pacific! Nordkapp, or the North Cape, is located at 71 degrees north and is the furthest north you can drive while staying within continental Europe. We’ve had this location on our bucket list for years and we recently had an opportunity to see it for ourselves! The northern-most point of continental Europe sounds like a very remote place, but it’s surprisingly accessible and absolutely worth the drive to get there! We had a blast exploring the North Cape, it’s a remote and stunning region, looking for wildlife and chasing the Midnight Sun!

Arches National Park is famous for having hundreds of arches, and if you make the trip out there, you’ll soon see how it got its name. It’s a huge park and people can spend many days exploring it and hiking to all the best viewpoints. But what if you’re short on time and you just want to see some of the highlights of Arches? The drive between Bryce Canyon National Park and Moab is several hours long but don’t let that deter you from making this journey. With a national scenic byway, a historic trail, and a national park situated in between, this is one of the most interesting and scenic drives you can take!

Let me start off by saying one day is not enough time to do Zion National Park justice. You’d need at least two days, or more if you’re traveling during peak season or doing a lot of major hikes. But can you do Zion in one day and feel like it was time well spent? Absolutely!

We planned to stop by Valley of Fire State Park on our drive from Las Vegas to Zion National Park. We figured it would be a great way to break up the drive, and it was, but we made two big mistakes on this journey, and we repeated them throughout the rest of our road trip.
